It’s more than a sauna, it’s an investment in self care

The Sauna Process

When you first walk in you will enter the changing room. Please wear your swim suit under your clothing, and bring a towel to sit on and dry off with, and a water bottle. We do provide 6 bottles of water for each rental.  We recommend not wearing jewelry, as they can become very hot.

The sauna is designed to comfortably fit 6-10 individuals. When you enter, there will be hooks to hang clothing on, and shelves to put your shoes, bags, and additional items on. From here you will enter through the glass door into the main room with your towel and water. There are two different levels of seating available, and since heat rises, if you are on the top seating level it will be hotter compared to the bottom level and well as if you are closer to the fire the hotter it will be. Depending on the amount of people in your group, once you place your towel down you can lay or sit on the benches.

Our sauna reaches temperatures from 130-185 degrees F. While we do have recommendations of how long to stay in the sauna and/or cold plunge, we encourage you to listen to your body as well all have different heat tolerances.

The fireplace is designed to have water added to the hot rocks on top of the fireplace  to create the steam as the water evaporates and increases the temperature. The humidity inhibits the body from using sweat to cool down your body, which increases the blood flow. You may find it harder to breathe here for a moment, but by taking slow deep breathes your body will quickly adjust.
